Two years ago, Sin was destroyed.
Spira's suffering is over. It's a new world.
And to make room, some dreams had to fade away.
In the wake of Sin’s destruction, the once-untouchable Yevon has faded from prominence, now a shell of the organization it once was. Many Spirans tossed the teachings of Yevon aside and followed under High Summoner Yuna’s banner, leading the way to a new future for Spira. Some still cling to the old ways, celebrating the traditions of Yevon and insisting that Spira’s abandonment of Yevon will lead to its destruction. Some, led by High Summoner Yuna, look to the future, under the banner of Non Serviam. And some, forming a mysterious group called “Virtue” take no sides and wish for the conflict to end.
Non Serviam has all but taken Yevon’s place as the leading organization in Spira. Spira has finally broken the spiral of death, and the world that remained stagnant for centuries may finally be embracing change. Those who hold on to Yevon are few and far between, though fervent in their beliefs.
As you might've guessed, we're a Final Fantasy X RP. Set two years after Final Fantasy X, Shattered Spiral acts as if Final Fantasy X-2 never happened; this is a new story. This is your story. There's a site-wide plot which anyone can participate in, as well as Bosses, special events, and all kinds of neat stuff which are completely optional! The biggest thing to do at Shattered Spiral is just what you'd expect: RPing! We'd love to have you at our site, and promise that you'll get a warm welcome~! ^_^
Appearance: Arkham has naturally pale skin, but don't worry, he isn't a vampire. He's freakishly tall for his age- standing at 6'1". Arkham's most noticeable feature is his eyes. His eyes are blue, but they're not a normal shade of blue. Arkham's eyes are a wonderful shade of ice blue. He is also skinny and under weight for his age group. Arkham weights in at merely 95lbs. He may not look like it, but he's a hell of a lot stronger than he looks. Arkham's hair is short and brown and tends to always look messy. If you can find Arkham without his shirt on, there are two scars running down his back. These scars are where his wings enter and exit his body.
Personality: Arkham's one of the strangest people to grace the Earth. He's quiet to a certain extent, but isn't afraid to stand up for what he believes in. He's the annoying kid that always asks questions and wants to know why something is happening. Arkham is best described as socially awkward- he's smart but really has no idea how to communicate with people.
It's pretty much unheard of for Arkham to get angry. Anger is something he doesn't feel and if someone does manage to anger him- they better watch out. Once angry- Arkham will stop at nothing to get even with whoever hurt him. On the other side of that coin- Arkham is a sweetheart. He's kind and caring and always forgives people. He pretty much lives by the saying 'forgive and forget'.
History: Arkham was born in Heaven in 1991 on All Hallows' Eve. He doesn't remember Heaven or anything related to it. He was sent to Earth shortly after his birth for unknown reasons. Two humans found him and took him in as their own. But he doesn't remember them either.
The first memory Arkham has is a house on fire and people screaming. He doesn't know why he remembers this or what happened, but finds himself having nightmares about a burning house.
After seeing the burning house, Arkham forced himself to his feet and began to walk. He walked for months until he got to the ocean. Once there, a group of men offered to take him to a better place. Arkham agreed and got onto the boat. He sailed with the men for years, seeing different places in hopes of finding himself.
The boat docked at Blackthorne on a wonderful summer night. The men told Arkham to stay on the boat, that the island was haunted and he would be cursed if he stepped foot onto the land. When everyone fell asleep, Arkham got off the boat and began to wander. As soon as he reached the woods, a pain shot through his back. Arkham fell to the ground and screamed in agony as two white wings emerged from his back. He passed out from the pain, and when he woke up the boat was gone, leaving him stranded on Blackthorne.

Scratch really didn't care that he was insulted, he just wanted to get up! Unfortunately, he wasn't strong enough to pull himself out from under the other boy, so he was thankful when he moved off of him. As soon as he got the chance, Scratch quickly jumped up and brushed himself off. He lost his fish, but oh well, he wasn't about to die from hunger. "Sorry?" Scratch said when he was told he smelled like wet cat. He wasn't sure what else to say, he couldn't help that he smelled like wet cat! He was a cat afterall, and he had fallen into the river pretty much. Scratch shook himself off a little bit, scattering water all over. "Better?" he asked.

Lance hadn't really thought about that. He really had no idea where the store was, but hey, he would figure it out. Lance was a cool person, so he could figure things out. After walking around the town for a while, he found the video place! He was so happy that he was cool enough to find it! Almost skipping, Lance walked into the store and stood in the middle of it. He wasn't much of a movie person, so he would let Jared pick it out. Lance turned around to make sure that the younger boy had followed him and not gotten lost.

Many a creature becomes lost in the wild barren lands of Mother Russia. Out in the woods, away from all space and time, anything can form, anything can happen. Within these lands, where very few people stray, in the wilderness where no one would bother to poke around, an area of illusions exist. Illusions of wolves, dogs, hyenas, every existing line of canine is here. These illusions mingle, in seperated packs. Twisted Desires, of the darker line, and Fog Valley of neutral allegiance, Lunar Moon Plains, the pure pack, are in a sudden situation where they should band together. A new pack is here, on the outskirts of the loner lands, a pack of rabid, wild dogs, who call themselves the Straylanders. Can these packs allow themselves to come together, to run out the dogs?
Who's side of illusions will you fight on? Will you take a chance in our woods?

A smirk appeared on his features when he noticed the poor boy was terrified. Oh well, someone needed to scare the hell out of kid. Diego absently looked towards the fish that had flown out of the boys mouth. Fish disgusted him. He'd eat about anything else though, because he was just that awkward.
Diego's blue eyes filled with confusion when the boy said he was eating. "Eating?" Diego questioned. "That's disgusting." Leave it to Diego to insult a kid he had known for five seconds. Whatever. That brain to mouth filter thing didn't work a lot. He moved off the kid and stood up, brushing the dirt off his jeans as he did so.
"You smell like a wet cat, it's sick," he informed the kid as he kicked the dead fish into the water.

Jared, once again, in a whisper-y voice said, "Yayy!" He jumped up and followed after the boy to the next town. He wasn't being a lager, but he was a little slow. He finally caught up to Lance and he looked around. "Hmm, So, you do you know where a movie store...thing... is in this town?" he asked as he looked at Lance. Because he sure as hell didn't. He still had that obnoxious smile on his face as he spoke too, but he started to look around and he didn't have any idea where he was! He hoped that Lance did.

Scratch almost choked on his food when he was suddenly attack. His face was shoved roughly into the dirt, and he lost his fish he had caught somewhere in the process. As soon as the boy got the chance, Scrath turned his head to look at his attacker. His eyes widened when he realized it was the boy he had seen earlier! Terrified of this boy, Scratch quickly answered him. "I-I was j-just eating." Scratch explained, knowing he was a freak for it. Oh well, he was a cat, so at least he had some sort of reason for being a freak.

He was humming to himself softly, wondering what the notes would sound like on a keyboard. Diego was a natural born musician and knew he could get far with it one day if he decided to put the time and effort into it. His blue eyes snapped open when he heard someone splash across the water. Who the fuck was disturbing the quiet? With an annoyed sigh, he closed his eyes again and continued humming.
After a few seconds, Diego once again twitched in annoyance. Something smelled like a wet cat. Diego didn't like cats much, but learned to tolerate them. His blue eyes once again opened and he looked under him. Blinking dumbly at the kid with a fish in his mouth, Diego couldn't help but drop out of the tree and land on the kids back.
"The fuck are you doing with a fish in your mouth?" Diego asked as he tilted his head slightly to the right.
