Located in the middle of a vast expanse of nothing but blue ocean, the small island of Blood can be found. The people who live there are a little different from the rest of the world, but it's not like it matters too much, the rest of the world isn't known to them. The mythical creatures of this island keep mainly to themselves, never leaving the island, and never being disturbed by foreigners. The creatures on the island normally live in their own packs, staying away from different species, but to stop war from breaking out their young all go to the same school. The school of Blackthorne is the best of the best, even if it is the only school in Blood, and the children there were completely happy...until they came. A group of humans were taking a field trip, sponsored only for children who lost their family or were taken away from them, when their plane crashed on the island of Blood. Miraculously all the children survived, but now they had no way to get home. The children were sorted into the school of Blackthorne, where most of the other children had never even heard of a human before, and are now pitted up against the task of being in an unfamiliar place with unfamiliar people and having to fit in.
